Old Northeast St. Pete
The Historic Old Northeast section of Saint Petersburg, Florida is the oldest neighborhood in the city. Like many of the cities more prestigious areas, it was developed in the early 1900’s by C. Perry Snell and J.C. Hamlett. Old Northeast overlooks Tampa Bay and is home to some 9,000 people living in a mixture of home styles that range from old Mediterranean to bungalow. It’s located between Fourth Street to Tampa Bay between Fifth Ave N and 30th Avenue.
As its name indicates it occupies the North East section of the city. Location is one of the many features that make it one of the area’s most desirable places to live. The Old Northeast shares it eastern border with the waters of Tampa Bay. The Neighborhood also boasts several beautiful waterfront parks and a dog park. The Old Northeast is just seconds from Downtown Saint Petersburg, minutes from Downtown Tampa, minutes from the pristine sands of the Gulf Beaches and less than 2 hours from Walt Disney and the other tourist destinations of Orlando, Florida.
